Getting Out of a Creative Funk: Finding Inspiration From Past Work

I've been in a lull for the past month or so creatively. When momentum slows down, I find myself feeling uninspired. As a creative, this can lead to a complete spiral. A spiral of constantly questioning every single thing you create or have ever created - the constant overthinking or nitpicking of each photo, video, or word.

Sometimes, the inspiration we are looking for is from ourselves, and often our past selves. Times when work and projects were flowing at such a speed, we didn't even take time to recognize the fruition of our creative labor.

So if you've been finding yourself in a creative funk too, I encourage you to go through your portfolio. Take a look at past content or projects you've worked on - think about how you felt in that moment, the feedback from your clients, and what inspired you when creating/working on that project.

And even more so, I encourage you to share that work. Even if your style has been since altered.
